Elder

An elder who is responsible for equipping the saints for the work of service to the building up of the body of Christ.

While continuing to faithfully display the characteristics of a disciple, lead a DNA, lead a Missional Community Leader, and Coach other MC's, an Elder should be able to fulfill these further personal qualities.
Leadership Responsibility
The primary leadership responsibility for an Elder is to lead congregations.
Ministerial Responsibility
To equip the saints for the work of service to the building up of the body of Christ.
Discipleship
To teach theology and serve as a Christlike example.
Vision

Strategy
Thinks strategically about the faith family as a whole.
Colloboration

People Development
While maintaining personal willingness to be developed, the Pastor creates and maintains a culture of discipleship and development.
Skills
Primary skill to be trained is one of vision.  By God's grace and His indwelling spirit, to see a preferred future so that leaders would be capable of making disciples.
Scripture Focus
We select the books of 1 and 2 Timothy for a Pastor because of it's focus on the ecclesiology.
Stewardship
To be a faithful steward of their personal giftedness while faithfully stewarding opportunities with church resources.
