The purpose of this resource is to provide our families a guide or liturgy for us to follow in our homes during this season. When we gather on Sunday's we want the Gospel to inform our hearts and minds not only in content but also in context. Therefore, we structure our gatherings on the Story of God through Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration. In this liturgy, we will feature the same elements we would normally have when we gather at the corner of Bellview and Community. We would highly encourage you to choose those in your family to do the readings or prayers and take turns. We have tried our best to provide links to YouTube, but if they do not work please don't hesitate to make necessary modifications.
We want to welcome you as we gather all across Escambia County in our homes to worship Jesus and to be reminded of Who He is, What He has done, Who we are in light of what He has done, and What we are to do? Join us as we direct our hearts and minds to God to pray for those who are impacted by this outbreak and for how we are to responds in light of it to those around us.
(Read this together)
1 Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You.
2 I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good besides You.”
3 As for the saints who are in the earth,
They are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight.
4 The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied;
I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood,
Nor will I take their names upon my lips.
5 The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You support my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.
7 I will bless the Lord who has counseled me;
Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.
8 I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will dwell securely.
10 For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol;
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
11 You will make known to me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Have someone pray:
O LORD, the true and most high God, we gather this morning as Your people to remember and rehearse the Good News. We declare that you alone can bring order into the world, and our unruly wills and affections.
Grant us, your people grace to love what you command and desire what you promise; that, among the many changes happening in the world today, our hearts may surely be fixed where true joy is to be found, in Chris our Lord; that we may be your people who declare and demonstrate your Good News, settle our fears and anxieties in Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, who lives and reigns in us as You, Father, Son, and Spirit reign over all of creation. In your holy Name, we pray. May all of God’s people shout: Amen!
Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me - CityAlight
It is in light our currently reality that we can confess that things are not as it should be. So we draw ourselves near to God and ask for Him to forgive us .
(pray this prayer together as a family)
we confess that we have longed too much for the comforts of this world.
We have loved the gifts more than the giver.
In your mercy,
help us to see that all the things we pine for are shadows,
but you are substance;
that they are quicksands,
but you are mountain;
that they are shifting,
but you are anchor.
We plead your forgiveness on the merits of Jesus Christ.
Accept his worthiness for our unworthiness,
his sinlessness for our transgressions,
his fullness for our emptiness,
his glory for our shame,
his righteousness for our dead works,
his death for our life.
We pray in Jesus name. Amen.

1 God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and foam,
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He raised His voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord,
Who has wrought desolations in the earth.
9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Cease striving and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our stronghold.

As we prepare our hearts to now live as His people,
let us be reminded of our command to go and make disciples
that is immersed between His power and His presence.
May we remember one another
as we look to the author and perfecter of our faith.
Have someone pray:
O God, most high, most glorious, the thought of Your infinite serenity cheers me, for I am, troubled and distressed, but You are for ever at perfect peace. Your designs cause You no fear or care of unfulfillment, they stand fast as the eternal hills. Your power knows no bond, Your goodness no stint. You bring order out of confusion, and my defeats are Your victories: The Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
I come to You as a sinner with cares and sorrows, to leave every concern entirely to You, every sin calling for Christ's precious blood; revive deep devotion in my heart; let me live near to the great Shepherd, hear His voice, know its tones, follow its calls. Keep me from deception by causing me to abide in the truth, from harm by helping me to walk in the power of the Spirit. Give me intenser faith in the eternal verities, burning into me by experience the things I know; Let me never be ashamed of the truth of the gospel, that I may bear its reproach, vindicate it, see Jesus as its essence, know in it the power of the Spirit.
Lord, help me, for I am often lukewarm and chill; unbelief mars my confidence, sin makes me forget You. Let the weeds that grow in my soul be cut at their roots; grant me to know that I truly live only when I live to You, that all else is trifling. Your presence alone can make me holy, devout, strong and happy.
Abide in me, gracious God.
