Hey Faith Family!
My hope and prayer is that I find you covered in the grace and peace of Christ. I want to take a moment and share with each of you an update in regards to our current situation at Pine Summit in relationship to the rapidly changing situation regarding the Coronavirus. As most of you know, we appointed a Medical Advisory Team (MAT) to make recommendations to the Church Leadership Ministry Team (CLMT) for how to appropriately respond to this entire situation. There are four simultaneous legs on which we made our decisions:
1. What does the Gospel say about how we are to deal with these situations?
2. What are the recommendations from those in authority and the church abroad?
3. How do we best Love God in the midst of this situation?
4. How do we best Love our Neighbor?
Due to recent recommendations from our government officials, new revelation of the coronavirus present in Escambia county, and additional information that has been presented, the CLMT met last night to determine our response to this situation. Upon looking at the information provided by the CDC and our MAT, we have decided to make the following decision that will impact us for the an unpredictable future.
1. Sunday Gatherings.
In an effort to mitigate the spread of the virus to those in our faith family, we will be moving to online services where you will have two options to participate. Our services will be live streamed at 8:00am on Sunday. Click here to take you to our Facebook Page. We will also be uploading our services to our Online Liturgy page so that you and your family can follow the Sunday Morning Liturgy together. Click here to go to our Online Liturgy Page.
2. Missional Communities
We have decided to utilize Zoom for our gathering needs. If your MC needs any help, please contact the front office for any questions.
We will continue to utilize CREW as our internal social networking and communication platform as well as email for those who are incapable of joining us on CREW. If you have any questions please let us know. Our offices will be open via phone and email for communication but closed for personal access for non-essential purposes. Brenda, our Office Administrator, will be in the office to take any phone calls during normal operational office hours. My expectation is to continue my schedule as usual.
May God bless us and keep us and cause his face to shine on us!
In Christ Alone!
