What is PSBC's Purpose and Vision?
 
Purpose Statement: "PSBC exists to turn unbelievers into fully-devoted follower's of Jesus Christ by a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission."
 
Vision Statement: "Reaching Pensacola for Jesus, one heart at a time."
 
God has given PSBC a heart for the families of the world.  We recognize that the family has taken many forms in today's culture, but we transform the family of today with the truth of the Bible.  We are driven to impact Pensacola with our lives, with an environment of family intimacy, and an encounter with the living God.  However, our vision is not limited to Pensacola, but to all the people of the world.

 
What does a fully-devoted follower of Christ do?

How can I become a member?
 
Complete the 3 step process of Pine Summit membership.
  1. Attend the Discover Class offered several times a year on Sunday at 9am.
  2. Come forward during the invitation time of a service.
  3. Sign the Pine Summit membership covenant.
A member must also be baptized by immersion and profess their faith in Christ.

 
Is PSBC connected to other churches?
 
Yes, PSBC is a member of the Pensacola Bay Baptist Association.  Two percent of all money received goes to the PBBA to further its work in strengthening Pensacola's churches and planting new ones.  PSBC is also a part of the Florida Baptist Convention and Southern Baptist Convention.  We are involved in the convention by giving 10% of all money received to the Cooperative Program which aids ministry throughout Florida, the United States, and the world.  PSBC is an autonomous organization, but we are connected to these organizations to maximize our impact throughout the world.
 

How can I learn more about PSBC?


Attend the PSBC Discovery Class!  On  Sunday morning from 9:00-10:15 AM those interested in learning about the nuts and bolts of PSBC including the vision, structure, and beliefs are invited to attend.  Our pastor leads this time.  You get to hear his testimony, learn more about the staff and ask any question you want about PSBC.  This is your chance to really get to know PSBC and for us to really get to know you in a fun laid-back environment.  Come check us out!  This class is required for everyone who desires to join PSBC.
